Blue Gold
An abstract closeup of blue and gold rock textures.
Taken at Easdale, once the home of the British slate industry: a study in shadow lighting - the layers of sedimentary slate rock came out blue with gold flecks of iron pyrites (fools' gold) formed in the reducing environment of mud sediments. Shen-Hao large-format camera, Fuji Velvia 100.
